In a packed Chase Field, the Rangers triumphed over the up-and-coming Arizona Diamondbacks with a decisive 5-0 win in Wednesday’s World Series Game 5, capturing their franchise’s first-ever title in its 63-year history. Nathan Eovaldi masterfully dodged danger, keeping pace with Zac Gallen’s six shutout innings. When the late innings came, the Rangers’ bats awoke, disrupting Gallen’s no-hitter and igniting a scoring spree with a solitary run in the seventh and a four-run burst in the ninth.
This postseason became the most outstanding in Rangers’ history, culminating in an unprecedented 11th straight road win—a new playoff record.
Corey Seager earned the World Series MVP, becoming only the fourth player in history to win the award twice since its inception in 1955. He joins the ranks of baseball greats Sandy Koufax, Bob Gibson, and Reggie Jackson, having previously won the accolade in 2020 with the Dodgers.

The Rangers displayed incredible resolve in the postseason, sweeping aside formidable opponents and overcoming a 2-0 deficit to the Astros to claim the pennant—a redemptive moment following their 2011 World Series heartbreak.
Against the Diamondbacks, the Rangers’ resilience was on full display. Despite losing key players Max Scherzer and Adolis Garcia, they surged back with a commanding Game 4 win and continued to showcase their grit in Game 5. Eovaldi’s escape artistry kept the Diamondbacks at bay, and the Rangers’ bats delivered when it counted.
