The Texas Rangers have signed a group of players. The signings include pitchers Danny Duffy, Ian Kennedy, and Reyes Moronta, and outfielders Clint Frazier and Travis Jankowski, to minor league contracts with invitations to the major league spring training camp.
Texas Rangers reach deal with Clint Frazier
Danny Duffy, a left-handed pitcher, previously played for the Kansas City Royals and was a key part of their World Series teams. He has struggled in recent years, but had a 2.51 ERA in 2021 before a flexor tendon injury ended his season early. He will likely be viewed as a potential bullpen arm.
Clint Frazier, a right-handed hitting corner outfielder, has had a career plagued by injuries, including concussions. He signed with the Chicago Cubs in 2022, but was sent down to AAA after 19 games in the majors.
Travis Jankowski, a 31-year-old left-handed hitting outfielder, has a career .236/.319/.310 slash line. He has played for several teams, including the San Diego Padres, Cincinnati Reds, Philadelphia Phillies, New York Mets, and Seattle Mariners.
